Caring for leather

Regular maintenance is important for leather furniture because it helps preserve its quality, protect against damage, prolong its lifespan, maintain its appearance, and increase its value.

To care for leather furniture, follow these steps:

  1. Dust it regularly: Use a soft cloth to remove dust and debris from the surface of the leather.

  2. Clean it gently: Use a damp cloth and a mild, leather-safe cleaner to remove any dirt or stains. Avoid using harsh chemicals or soap.

  3. Condition it regularly: Apply a leather conditioner every 6 to 12 months to keep the leather supple and prevent cracking.

  4. Protect it from sunlight and heat: Keep leather furniture away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent fading and drying.

  5. Avoid overloading it: Don't overload leather furniture, as this can cause stretching and sagging.

  6. Store it properly: When not in use, store leather furniture in a cool, dry place to prevent cracking and drying.

  7. Professional cleaning: If leather furniture becomes deeply soiled or damaged, have it professionally cleaned and restored.

  2. Spot clean spills immediately: Use a clean, white cloth and a mild, fabric-safe cleaner to remove spills and stains as soon as they occur.

  3. Use a stain protector: Apply a fabric protector to your furniture to help resist future spills and stains.

  4. Avoid direct sunlight: Keep fabric furniture away from direct sunlight to prevent fading.

  5. Fluff and rotate cushions: Fluff and rotate cushions regularly to prevent uneven wear and sagging.

  6. Professional cleaning: Have your fabric furniture professionally cleaned every 12 to 24 months, depending on use and exposure to dirt and spills.

  7. Follow manufacturer's guidelines: Always follow the manufacturer's care guidelines for your specific type of fabric.

Caring for Quilt Covers, Pillow Case and Bed Sheets

For reasons of hygiene, comfort, extending their life, beauty, preventing yellowing and damage, and financial savings, bed linens should be regularly maintained.

To care for bed linens, follow these steps:

  1. Read the label: Always check the care label on your bed linens before washing to ensure you are using the correct temperature and detergent.

  2. Wash regularly: Wash your bed linens at least once a month to keep them fresh and clean.

  3. Use a mild detergent: Use a mild detergent specifically designed for delicate fabrics to avoid damage.

  4. Avoid overloading the machine: Avoid overloading the washing machine, as this can cause tangling and damage to your bed linens.

  5. Use a gentle cycle: Use a gentle cycle and a low spin speed to avoid damage to your bed linens.

  6. Avoid using fabric softener: Fabric softener can reduce the absorbency of your bed linens and cause build-up.

  7. Tumble dry on low heat: Tumble dry your bed linens on a low heat setting to avoid shrinkage and damage.

  8. Remove promptly: Remove your bed linens from the dryer promptly to avoid wrinkles and to help prevent excessive shrinking.
